Privacy Policy

Effective July 24, 2026

The short version

Teen Care Baja operates this website and a phone intake line to help families learn about our residential behavioral camp for teens. We know the information families share with us is sensitive, and we treat it that way. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect through this website and by phone, how we use it, and the choices you have. This policy covers our website and our intake line only. Information gathered during enrollment, and any information about students in the program, is governed by the enrollment agreement and related consents your family signs with us.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit our contact or admissions form, we collect what you enter: typically your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, and anything you write about your family's situation. If you email or call us, we keep that correspondence. Technical information. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider records standard technical logs such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to keep the site running, fast, and secure. What we do not do. We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not run third-party advertising on this site.

Calls to our intake line

Our intake line is answered by an automated assistant. It will tell you that it is automated at the start of every call, and if you ask whether you are speaking with a person, it will say plainly that you are not. You can always ask to have a member of our team call you back instead. Calls are recorded and transcribed so our team can follow up accurately. You will be told this at the beginning of the call. If you would rather not be recorded, say so and we will take only a callback number, or you can use the contact form on this site instead. What we collect on a call is what you choose to tell us: usually your name, a callback number and email, your teen's age, your preferred language, and a short description of your situation. We ask you not to share medical records, diagnoses in detail, or documents over the intake line. Those conversations belong with a member of our team. We use a third-party voice technology provider to operate this line, which means call audio and transcripts are processed on their systems as well as ours. We do not use call recordings or transcripts for advertising, and we do not sell them. If you call about an emergency, our assistant will direct you to 911 or to 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, and will not continue collecting information. Our intake line is not monitored around the clock and is not an emergency service. We keep call recordings and transcripts only as long as we need them to follow up with your family, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.

How we use and share it

We use the information you share to respond to you, to talk with you about whether our program fits your family, and to improve this website and our intake process. Form submissions and call notes go to our admissions team and are read by the small number of staff who need them to help you. We understand that a message or a call about your teen is not ordinary contact data. It often describes hard moments in your family's life. We limit who can read and hear these, we do not use them for marketing, and we do not share their contents outside Teen Care Baja except with the service providers that make our website, email, and phone line work, or if the law requires it. Because our team operates in both Mexico and the United States, information you submit may be stored and processed in either country.

Children's privacy

This website and our intake line are written for parents and guardians. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If a young caller reaches our intake line, our assistant will not conduct an intake with them and will direct them to speak with a parent or, if they are in distress, to crisis support. If you believe a child has submitted personal information here or on a call, contact us and we will delete it. Information about students enrolled in the program is collected under the enrollment agreement and parental consent, not through this website or intake line, and is handled with stricter protections.

Your choices and our commitments

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, including call recordings and transcripts. Use the contact form on this site and we will respond. We keep form submissions, call records, and correspondence only as long as we need them to work with your family or as the law requires, and we use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take this responsibility seriously. If we change this policy, we will update it here with a new effective date. Questions are always welcome through our contact page.
